1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Sebayte Reading Program (“Sebayte,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) may collect, use, protect, and share information received through this website.

This policy applies to information submitted through the website and information automatically generated when visitors access the website. It does not replace any separate enrollment, tutoring, payment, or student-record agreement provided directly to a parent or legal guardian.

2. Information We May Collect

Information you provide

When a parent, guardian, or other adult contacts Sebayte through the website, we may receive:

  • An email address
  • The contents of a message
  • A phone number or name when voluntarily included
  • General information about the reading support being requested

Information collected automatically

Our website host or technical service providers may automatically record limited information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, visited pages, and access times. The exact information depends on the hosting and analytics tools connected to the finished website.

Do not place sensitive information—such as passwords, Social Security numbers, payment-card details, medical records, or detailed student records—inside the website contact form.

3. How We May Use Information

Information may be used to:

  • Respond to questions and consultation requests
  • Discuss tutoring availability and reading-support options
  • Schedule assessments or sessions
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the website
  • Prevent misuse, spam, fraud, or technical problems
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

Sebayte does not use the website contact form to sell personal information.

4. Children’s Privacy

The website contact form is intended for parents, legal guardians, and other adults. Children should not submit personal information through the website on their own.

Sebayte provides educational services for children, but we do not knowingly request that a child under 13 directly submit personal information through the public website contact form.

A parent or legal guardian should contact Sebayte and provide only the information reasonably needed to discuss services. If we learn that personal information was submitted directly by a child without appropriate parental involvement, we may take reasonable steps to delete it.

Information collected during enrollment or tutoring may be addressed separately through forms, agreements, or notices provided directly to the parent or legal guardian.

5. When Information May Be Shared

We may share limited information only when reasonably necessary with:

  • Service providers that help host, secure, maintain, or operate the website
  • Email, form-processing, scheduling, or communication providers used to respond to a request
  • Professional advisers or authorities when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights and safety
  • A successor organization if the program is reorganized, transferred, or sold

We do not authorize service providers to use submitted information for unrelated purposes.

6. Third-Party Services

The website may contain links to other websites or use embedded third-party features. For example, the main Sebayte page includes an embedded Google Map. When a third-party feature loads, that provider may receive technical information according to its own privacy policy.

Third-party services have their own privacy practices, and Sebayte does not control those external policies. Visitors should review the relevant provider’s privacy information before using an external service.

7. Data Security and Retention

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. However, no website, email message, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Information may be retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond to requests, provide services, maintain records, resolve disputes, protect the website, or comply with legal obligations.

8. Your Choices

A parent, guardian, or other website visitor may contact Sebayte to ask about personal information they previously submitted and request that it be corrected or deleted, subject to reasonable identity verification and applicable recordkeeping requirements.

You may choose not to submit the website form and may instead call Sebayte directly at 910-885-3717.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the website, services, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
